Joe, do you know if you can force-subscribe members to a certain thread?

For instance, I have a thread where we asked for people to express interest in buying a certain t-shirt for an upcoming event. Now that the time has come to send in the money, no one has. I want to subscribe them to the thread so they get a notification and go read the thread again.

It's certainly not possible without some sort of modification.


If you have the "Admin Login as User" mod you could just log in as them and subscribe them- probably would be the fastest way rather then trying to make a mod to do it.

There's some mod, as I never subscribed to any threads on digital point, and everytime there's a post in the same thread I posted in, I receive an email....

On digital-point it is set you auto subscribe every user to every post they post in. This is a default VB option- in Admin CP -> Settings -> Options -> User Registration Options -> You can set what options are chosen by default for new members.

Thanks, never knew this, can't you email be picked up for spam?

It could be blocked as spam, always a risk, but good anti-spam systems also need to recognize legit emails as well. Personally I never turn that on by default but it's a personal taste.
